Delta Media’s CEO Honoured by Peers for Excellence in Communications Leadership

Delta Media’s co-founder and CEO, Tim Kane, was recently recognized by business communications professionals in Ottawa for his first-rate leadership and his contribution to organizational communications. One of only two recipients of the 2008 President’s Award from the Ottawa Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Tim’s capability as a strategic and creative communications planner attuned to Ottawa’s public and political environments was praised by the IABC board members who presented him with the award.

In addition to three decades of success-laden communications activities ranging from private sector advertising campaigns to public sector strategic communications planning in Canada and abroad, Tim is also distinguished as the driving force behind the renewal of the National Press Club of Canada.

The award, which was presented to Tim at the 2008 IABC EXCEL Awards Gala in Ottawa, marks the second time that Tim has been honoured by the organization’s Ottawa Chapter. In 1996, he received an IABC Excel Award in the marketing communications category on behalf of Delta Media. Tim first joined IABC in 1989 and he has served on several boards of directors, becoming vice-president finance from 1992 to 1994.
