commentators on issues of local, regional, national and international interest.
Timothy M. Kane, President
Tim founded Delta Media in 1991 and Public Affairs Strategy Group in 1998 to satisfy a growing demand for executive-level public affairs and government relations counsel.
In addition to his responsibilities as President of the Public Affairs Strategy Group, Tim is also Chairman of Delta Media Inc. He has also served as chairman of the Americas region board of directors of the Worldcom Public Relations Group Inc.
Tim has led or been a part of many public affairs successes over the years, such as the trade association that saved its members a quarter of a billion dollars in government surcharges or the exporter who was able to benefit from government assistance for both R&D and exporting.

William Stairs, Executive Counsel

Two decades of hands-on experience at some of the highest levels of government, forms the basis for William’s thoughtful counsel. He has served the Prime Minister as director of issues management, and worked as communications director to two federal party leaders. He has also served as chief of staff to the Minister of Justice & Attorney-General of Canada, the Minister of International Cooperation (CIDA), and the President of the Treasury Board. Prior to this he worked in the Senate of Canada as a researcher, media and public policy analyst, and speech writer.
William brings a host of valuable skills to PASG clients. He has practical, front-line experience in media relations, strategic communications, crisis management, media messaging, and the crafting of concise and effective communications products. He possesses an in-depth knowledge of the public policy process, and the inner workings of the federal political, bureaucratic and parliamentary systems. And he enjoys an excellent reputation as a solid and prudent manager of people, resources and budgets.
Fluently bilingual, William earned his B.A. at Dalhousie University and his M.A. and Ph.D. (Canadian History) from Université Laval.

Robert M. Mill, Executive Counsel
Bob Mill's leadership in public affairs and government relations is defined by over 30 years of experience at senior levels of government and corporate Canada. He is highly regarded in both sectors for his commitment to excellence and his understanding of public policy and the legislative process.
Bob has served as executive assistant to four federal cabinet ministers from 1971 until 1983, when he joined the private sector, and has earned experience and knowledge in a number of areas of economic and social policy development. From 1983 to 1988 he directed the Ottawa government relations office of the Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association of Canada. He then joined ABB, one of the world's largest engineering/manufacturing companies, where he served as Vice-President, Corporate Communications and Vice-President, Government Relations. From 1994 until joining the Public Affairs Strategy Group in 2000, Bob was a senior partner in an Ottawa-based government relations firm serving many leading Canadian and multi-national corporations, industry associations and not-for-profit organizations.
Through his work, Bob has established an extensive network and a solid reputation in the government relations/public affairs community and within business and government circles. He has been involved in significant developments in numerous fields including electrical and electronic engineering, research and development, international trade, transportation, security, information technology, agriculture, health, environment, and energy.
Fluently bilingual, he has studied history and political science at St. Joseph's University in New Brunswick and the University of Ottawa.
Mike Storeshaw, Executive Counsel
Mike knows how government works and he knows how this government thinks after nearly a decade of high-level experience in political communications. Most recently, Mike served as the Director of Communications to the federal Minister of Finance, and worked in the same capacity for the Minister of Justice and the President of the Treasury Board. Prior to his time in government, he led a team of communications professionals within the Office of the Leader of the Opposition.
Mike has led the communications planning and execution of major government events and projects, including federal budgets, international meetings and conferences, and legislative launches. He has served as a principal spokesperson, and has provided strategic advice and counsel to political figures at all levels, including media training to everyone from the newest candidates for office to the most established Members of Parliament and Cabinet ministers.
Mike keeps up to date on changing priorities in the government and appears as a political commentator. He has a broad and diverse network of media contacts at the national, regional and local level. His understanding of the way reporters, producers and editors work is of immense value for clients, regardless of their public relations goals.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary, where he specialized in marketing.
